NEW HOPE — The New Hope boys and girls soccer team both picked up wins over Mooreville at home on Friday.
Drew Pack had two goals as the New Hope boys won 5-1. Jack Oswalt, Austin Minichino and José Castillo also scored for the Trojans.
The girls team took a 2-0 win over the Troopers. Allie Grace Yates and Caleigh Carter each scored for the Trojans.
New Hope will host Vardaman on Tuesday.
Prep girls basketball
Lake 42, Columbus 36
Columbus fell to 0-4 with a 42-36 home loss to Lake on Saturday.
Christina Fulton had 12 points to lead the Falcons, while MaKhya Weatherspoon had 10.
Columbus’ next game is Thursday against Pontotoc.
Lafayette 62, New Hope 34
ECRU — New Hope girls basketball lost 62-34 to Lafayette at the Premiere Viking Classic at North Pontotoc on Saturday.
The Trojans will play Tuesday at Louisville.
Columbus Christian Academy 36, Grace Christian 26, Friday
STEENS — Columbus Christian Academy’s girls team handled Grace Christian 36-26 in Friday’s home game.
Faith Yeates had 13 points to lead the Rams, while Satavia Watkins had 10. Ada Farlow scored six points, and Shi Easterwood had five.
Columbus Christian’s next game is Monday against Oak Hill Academy.
Prep boys basketball
Marion (Ark.) 60, Columbus 45
MARION, Ark. — Columbus fell to Marion (Arkansas), 60-45, on the road Saturday.
Jace O’Neal had 17 points to lead the Falcons, while Josh Smith had 10.
Columbus will host Pontotoc on Thursday.
Columbus Christian Academy 49, Grace Christian 32, Friday
STEENS — The Columbus Christian boys beat Grace Christian 49-32 on Friday in Steens.
Caleb McCarter led the Rams with 16 points. Garrett Weathers had 11, and Mason Wright had eight.
CCA will host Oak Hill on Monday.
