CALEDONIA — The Caledonia High School softball team picked up an 11-0 home win over Houlka on Friday.
Summer George went 2 for 2 and drove in two runs for the Cavaliers (5-3), while freshman Camryn Higginbotham also had two RBIs.
Freshman Addison Finch, eighth-grader Tatum McBride and seventh-grader Kennedy Trotter all drove in runs.
On Saturday, the Cavaliers lost an 8-2 decision Saturday at East Webster.
Senior Lauren Brown and Trotter each had a pair of hits for the Cavs, while Finch had the team’s lone RBI.
Caledonia will host Lamar County (Alabama) on Tuesday.

Starkville boys finish second, girls fourth at Hattiesburg Invitational
HATTIESBURG — The Starkville High School track and field team had a solid showing at Friday’s Hattiesburg High School Invitational.
The Yellow Jackets boys finished second in the event, and the girls team was fourth.
Grady Stewart won the 400-meter run, and Jejuan Davis won the triple jump.
Stewart’s performance is currently the best in the state so far this year.
The Jackets will compete in the Golden Triangle Showdown at 1 p.m. March 7 in Columbus.
