Thanks to a 35-28 come-from-behind win over then-No. 2 Madison Central, the Starkville High School football team rose to No. 4 in the AP Mississippi Prep Football Top 10.
West Point, which blanked Lafayette 17-0 last week, is 2 points behind West Jones at No. 2 in the Class 5A poll, and sits right behind the Mustangs in the overall Top 10 as well. West Jones, a 26-0 winner over Brookhaven, is ranked sixth, with the Yellow Jackets in seventh.

A 42-6 loss to No. 10 Louisville knocked Noxubee County from No. 3 in Class 3A to No. 5, with Tylertown and Magee leap-frogging the Tigers in the ranking.
The Private Schools Top 5 was unchanged from a week ago, with Heritage Academy holding the No. 4 spot after their 42-14 win over Bayou Academy.
