CLEVELAND — Heritage Academy wasn’t fazed by a road trip Friday.
The Patriots (5-1) came out sharp in a 56-17 over Bayou Academy in Cleveland.
Heritage Academy held a 20-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and led 35-17 at halftime. The Pats outscored the Colts 19-0 in the second half.
Heritage Academy will host Wayne Academy at 7 p.m. Friday.
Sebastopol 29, West Lowndes 0
SEBASTOPOL — West Lowndes was shut out on the road Friday by Sebastopol.
The Panthers fell to 3-2 on the season with the loss.
West Lowndes’ next game is Friday at home against Leake County.
Winston Academy 13, Starkville Academy 7
LOUISVILLE — Starkville Academy suffered its first loss to Winston Academy since 2009.
The Volunteers (4-3) lost 13-7 to the Patriots on the road Friday.
Charlie Nicholas scored a 1-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter for Starkville Academy, but the Vols fell behind 13-0 by the third quarter.
Starkville Academy will play Friday at Magnolia Heights.
Oak Hill Academy 42, Kirk Academy 21
GRENADA — Oak Hill Academy built an early lead and stuck with it in Friday’s win over Kirk Academy.
The Raiders (2-4) led 14-7 after the first quarter and 21-14 at halftime. They added two unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter and traded scores with Kirk in the fourth quarter.
Oak Hill will host North Delta School at 7 p.m. Friday.
DeSoto School (Ark.) 60, Columbus Christian Academy 32
WEST HELENA, Ark. — Columbus Christian Academy fell 60-32 to DeSoto School (Arkansas) in Friday’s road game.
Garrett Weathers passed for two touchdowns and ran for two more for the Rams (3-3). Weathers passed for 139 yards and ran for 128.
Drake Shaw ran for 67 yards, McCory Humphres had 54 receiving yards, and Luke Phillips had 44 receiving yards.
Grant Robinson and Jonah Harrison each caught touchdown passes from Weathers, who ran for touchdowns of 25 and 10 yards.
Humphres had a 10-yard scoring run in the second quarter.
Columbus Christian will travel to Belzoni to face Humphreys Academy next week.
Lee Academy (Ark.) 49, Hebron Christian 8
PHEBA — Hebron Christian fell 49-8 to Lee Academy (Arkansas) in Friday’s game in Pheba.
The Raiders’ record is now 0-6.
Hebron will host DeSoto School (Arkansas) on Friday.
South Choctaw Academy (Ala.) 27, Pickens Academy (Ala.) 13
TOXEY, Ala. — Pickens Academy suffered a 27-13 loss to South Choctaw Academy (Alabama) on the road Friday.
The Pirates fell to 2-3 on the season.
Pickens Academy will host Jackson Academy (Alabama) at 7 p.m. Friday.
Aliceville (Ala.) 42, Tuscaloosa Central (Ala.) 13
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Aliceville (Alabama) improved to 5-1 on the season with a 42-13 win over Tuscaloosa Central (Alabama) on Friday.
Ty’Jarian Williams went 15 for 21 passing for 211 yards and two touchdowns for the Yellow Jackets. Williams ran for 115 yards and three touchdowns on six carries.
Tyquan Simon caught three passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.
Aliceville’s next game is Friday at Lamar County (Alabama).
