GLEN — The Columbus High girls team lost to Florence (Alabama) 54-47 on Saturday at the Peggy Bain Holiday Hoops Tournament at Alcorn Central High School.
Aniya Saddler scored 20 points for the Falcons, and DJ Jackson scored 12.
The Falcons will go on the road to face West Point on Jan. 7.
Columbus girls 79, Lewisburg 19, Friday
GLEN — Aniya Saddler led the way as the Falcons demolished Lewisburg 79-19 on Friday at the Peggy Bain Holiday Hoops Tournament in Glen.
She scored 15 points to lead the team; Makayla Rieves had 13 points, and Myra King had 10.
Mashanti Saddler scored eight points and added nine rebounds, and Jackson scored eight points to go with seven rebounds.
Heritage Academy boys 67, Richland 52
MADISON — Eli Acker had 27 points to lead the Heritage Academy boys team to a 67-52 win over MHSAA Class 4A school Richland on Saturday at the St. Andrew’s Classic in Madison.
Freshman Mack Howard added 10 points for the Patriots.
Heritage Academy will travel to face Leake Academy on Friday, Jan. 3, in Madden.
Noxubee County girls 55, Coffeeville 44
MABEN — The Noxubee County girls beat Coffeeville 55-44 on Saturday at the East Webster Christmas Tournament in Maben.
Zacaree Rupert scored 22 points to lead the Tigers in victory. Aadijah Williams scored 14 points, and Jakeia Walker scored eight.
Potts Camp boys 86, West Lowndes 57
FULTON — The West Lowndes boys lost to Potts Camp 86-57 on Saturday in the Rumble by the River invitational hosted by Itawamba Community College in Fulton.
Albert Plair had 21 points for the Panthers, and Jataquist Brown had 13. Darrell Brooks and Melvin Crawford each scored six.
