Blake Burnett scored 17 points to help the Columbus High School boys basketball team beat Aberdeen 66-30 in Saturday’s home game.
Eric Caldwell contributed 14 points for the Falcons, who got back on track after Friday’s loss to Starkville.
Columbus will host the Joe Horne Christmas Classic next weekend.
Columbus girls 53, Aberdeen 12
The Columbus girls beat Aberdeen 53-12 on Saturday in Columbus.
Aniya Saddler, DJ Jackson and Makayla Rieves each scored nine points for the Falcons (7-2). Saddler had 10 rebounds and five steals, and Jackson had six rebounds and six steals.
Madison-Ridgeland Academy boys 71, Heritage Academy 56
MADISON — The Heritage Academy boys fell to Madison-Ridgeland Academy 71-56 in Saturday’s road game.
Carter Putt scored 16 points, Mack Howard scored 11, and Steele Altmyer scored eight.
The Patriots did beat East Rankin Academy 64-33 in Friday’s road game.
On Friday, Howard had 19 points, Altmyer had 13, and Trey Naugher had 12.
The Patriots (5-5) will compete in the Joe Horne Christmas Classic next weekend at Columbus.
Heritage Academy girls 54, East Rankin Academy 48, OT
PELAHATCHIE — The Heritage Academy girls beat East Rankin Academy 54-48 in overtime Friday in Pelahatchie.
Bailey Harris led the Patriots with 22 points in Friday’s game. Lucy Sharp scored 14, and Sydney Adair had 11.
The Heritage Academy girls will face Jackson Prep at 4 p.m. Dec. 20 on the road.
Caledonia boys 66, Lamar County (Ala.) 32
CALEDONIA — The Caledonia boys team beat Lamar County (Alabama) 66-32 in Friday’s home game.
Cooper McCleskey led the Confederates (7-1) with 17 points. Jarvis Leigh and Jeremy Emerson each scored 12, and Jairus Whitfield scored 11.
Caledonia will play a doubleheader on the road Tuesday at Houston.
Lamar County (Ala.) 47, Caledonia girls 29
CALEDONIA — The Caledonia girls fell to Lamar County (Alabama) 47-29 Friday in Caledonia.
Tenizia Lathan had 13 points to lead the Confederates.
The Caledonia girls dropped to 2-6 on the season.
Noxubee County boys 83, West Lowndes 49
MACON — The Noxubee County boys team beat West Lowndes 83-49 in Saturday’s home game.
Darrell Brooks had 19 points to lead the Panthers. Melvin Crawford had eight points, and Taddarious Washington had six. The Panthers will face French Camp Academy on Monday in French Camp.
No statistics were available for Noxubee County, which will host New Hope on Tuesday.
West Lowndes girls 60, Noxubee County 49
MACON — The West Lowndes girls beat Noxubee County 60-49 on Saturday in Macon.
Marvaysha Seals had 19 points for West Lowndes, Nenah Young had 15, and Tydajasha Hood had 11.
For Noxubee County, Zacaree Rupert had 19 points, and Aadijah Williams had 14.
On Friday, the Tigers (0-8) lost to Louisville 59-18. Rupert scored seven points, and Makevia Walker scored six.
Starkville Academy boys 43, Hartfield Academy 36
STARKVILLE — George Delp led the way with 18 points as the Starkville Academy boys team beat Hartfield Academy 43-36 in Friday’s home game.
On Friday, Jawon Yarbrough led the team with 16 points in a 54-20 home win over Leake Academy.
The Volunteers (7-2) will face Tishomingo County on Thursday in Iuka.
Leake Academy girls 48, Starkville Academy 33
STARKVILLE — Lillee Alpe had 20 points, but the Starkville Academy girls team fell 40-36 to Hartfield Academy on Saturday in Starkville.
On Friday, Caroline Wood’s 15 points led the Lady Volunteers in a 48-33 home loss to Leake Academy.
The Lady Vols are 7-5 on the season.
Oak Hill Academy boys 54, Indianola Academy 22
INDIANOLA — The Oak Hill Academy boys team improved its record to 9-1 with a 54-22 win at Indianola Academy on Friday.
Branden Stevenson led the Raiders with 17 points.
The Raiders will host Winston Academy in a doubleheader Thursday in West Point.
Oak Hill Academy girls 43, Indianola Academy 36
INDIANOLA — The Oak Hill girls beat Indianola Academy 43-36 on Friday in Indianola.
Carley Wooten scored 23 points, and Sara Nash had 12.
With the win, Oak Hill improved to 5-5 on the season.
Tuscaloosa Academy (Ala.) boys 72, Pickens Academy (Ala.) 46
CARROLLTON, Ala. — The Pickens Academy boys team lost Friday’s home game to Tuscaloosa Academy, 72-46.
Rafe Brown scored 16 points for the Pirates, Seth Peeks had 10 and Hayden Dyer had eight.
Pickens Academy (4-3) will face Clarke Prep on Dec. 20 in Grove Hill, Alabama.
Pickens Academy (Ala.) girls 37, Tuscaloosa Academy (Ala.) 21
CARROLLTON, Ala. — The Pickens Academy girls team beat Tuscaloosa Academy 37-21 on Friday in Carrollton, Alabama.
Auburn softball commit Shelby Lowe had 12 points for the Pirates (4-2) and pulled down 17 rebounds. Jessi Latham scored seven points for Pickens Academy.
Millie Mullin had 10 points to lead Tuscaloosa Academy.
