MABEN — Stallone Shelton threw a complete-game shutout as the New Hope baseball team handled East Webster 1-0 on Tuesday in Maben.
Shelton struck out seven and walked one in his outing for the Trojans (2-1).
New Hope plays at rival Caledonia (2-1) at 6 p.m. Friday.

SULLIGENT, Ala. — The Caledonia baseball team routed Sulligent (Alabama) on Tuesday in Sulligent.
Peyton McCollum and Thomas Tucker each went 2 for 4 for the Confederates. Tyler McAdams was 1 for 1 with four runs batted in.
Westlee Honeycutt was the ‘Feds’ winning pitcher, going five innings and allowing three earned runs. Honeycutt allowed seven hits and struck out eight batters.
Caledonia will host Louisville at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
