MACON — DeAngelo Ballard threw three touchdowns and Darrell Robinson rushed for two and returned a punt for another Friday night to lead the Noxubee County High School football team to a 40-13 victory against Houston at Tiger Stadium.
With the victory, Noxubee County, the No. 2 team in the state according to The Clarion-Ledger’s Super 10 poll, improved to 9-0 and 3-0 in Class 4A, Region 4. Noxubee County also is the No. 1 team in the state in Class 4A according to The Clarion-Ledger and The Associated Press. Houston slipped to 7-2 and 1-2.
Ballard threw touchdown passes of 53, 13, and 9 yards, while Robinson scored on runs of 8 and 3 yards. He added a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown.
