COLUMBUS — Mississippi University for Women is set to host softball camps for the month of September, with one geared toward children ages 10-13 and another for high schoolers ages 14-18. Owls softball head coach Rebecca Oldham announced on Thursday that the camps will take place on Sept. 21 for the younger group and Sept. 28 for the older group.
Registration for both camps is open, and participants can sign up, pay, and download a camper waiver by going to www.owlsathletics.com/OwlsSoftballCamp
The camps will be divided into two sessions, a defensive session from 8-11 a.m. and an offensive session from 1-4 p.m. Campers can register for one session for $75 or both sessions for $120.
“Campers will get a first-hand look at what it is like to practice, play, train, and prepare like a college student-athlete,” a university release read. “Camp highlights will include drills, live situations, coach’s evaluation, as well as a Q&A time with both staff and Owls’ players.”
