Mississippi State football was picked to finish second-to-last in the SEC by media, the conference announced Friday.
The Bulldogs received 467 votes, putting them ahead of only Arkansas, who received 205. Last season MSU finished third-to-last in the SEC standings ahead of South Carolina and Arkansas.

Preseason recognition
The media also voted on preseason All-SEC teams, and two MSU players were selected.
Redshirt junior corner Kelley Jones was picked to the All-SEC second team defense. He finished last year with 13 tackles and 11 pass breakups, starting all 13 games.
Punter Ethan Pulliam was selected for the All-SEC third team. He averaged 46.8 yards per punt last season.
