Just days from the start of the 2020 season, the accolades continue to pile up for Mississippi State softball players Mia Davidson and Fa Leilua.
Davidson, a junior catcher, and Leilua, a senior utility player, were both named second-team all-Americans by D1Softball on Tuesday.
Previously, both members of the duo were named preseason all-Americans by Softball America, and both landed on the top 50 watch list for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Award.
Mississippi State’s season begins Friday at the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Clearwater, Florida. The Bulldogs will face Missouri State at 11 a.m. Friday and play an exhibition with Team USA at 5 p.m. Friday.
