STARKVILLE — Mississippi State men’s golf released its 2023-24 season schedule Thursday, a season that begins Sept. 8 at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate hosted by Tennessee.
The Bulldogs are coming off an appearance at the NCAA Division I team championships in Scottsdale, Arizona, last season, one of 30 teams to make it to the national championships round.
“We are very pleased with our 2023-2024 golf schedule this year. It is always our goal to play in events that will prepare us for championship season,” head coach Dusty Smith said in Thursday’s press release. “We have added several new events to the slate, so I look forward to exposing our team to different events that will ultimately help us grow as the year progresses.”
Other fall tournaments include SEC Match Play in Birmingham, Sept. 25-27, the Blessings Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., where both the men’s and women’s teams will play, and the Fallen Oak Invitational in Biloxi, a joint tournament hosted by MSU, Ole Miss and Southern Miss.
For the first time since 2013, Mississippi State will travel to Hawaii to participate in the Kapolei Invitational from Oct. 31 – Nov. 2.
In the spring, the Bulldogs will travel to Tallahassee, Florida, and Augusta, Georgia, and will conclude their slate at home in the Mossy Oak Invitational, April 15-16.
