NEW HOPE — The New Hope High School softball team lost Wednesday’s regular-season finale to Grenada 14-4 in five innings.
The Chargers scored in every inning as they earned the No. 1 seed in the district with the victory.
New Hope scored all four runs in the third inning. Adi Dueitt pitched a complete game for the Trojans, striking out two.
New Hope still earned a first-round bye in the MHSAA Class 5A playoffs. The Trojans will face Vicksburg next week.
