FLOWOOD — The Heritage Academy boys basketball team lost its season opener Tuesday at Hartfield Academy in Flowood, 72-52.
Still without several key players until their football season ends, the Patriots struggled against the Hawks on Tuesday.
Steele Altmyer’s 18 points led the team, and Adam Koussih scored 17.
Heritage Academy’s next game is Monday against Oak Hill Academy at 7:30 p.m.
Hartfield Academy girls 62, Heritage Academy 28
FLOWOOD — The Heritage Academy girls were routed on Tuesday by Hartfield Academy.
It was the first game for the Patriots since playing in the Impact Sports Preseason Tournament at the Mississippi University for Women from Oct. 21-24.
Bailey Harris led the team with 11 points, and Sydney Adair scored eight.
The Patriots will face Oak Hill at 6 p.m. Monday.
