The Mississippi State baseball team will have to wait another day for a chance to punch its ticket to Super Regionals.
Because of a steady rain throughout the day Sunday, the Starkville Regional schedule was altered at 12:22 p.m., the NCAA announced.
The elimination game between VCU and Campbell was moved to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, while the regional final pitting the Bulldogs against the winner of that contest has been moved to 11 a.m. Monday. If Mississippi State loses, the decisive Game 7 of the regional will be played at 3 p.m. Monday.
Mississippi State beat Samford 8-4 on Friday and beat VCU 16-4 on Saturday.
