STARKVILLE — Mississippi State men’s tennis on Wednesday announced the transfer addition of Presbyterian sophomore Dusan Milanovic.
Milanovic was named the 2022 Big South Freshman of the Year and the 2023 Big South Player of the Year, qualifying for NCAA championships individually in both singles and doubles, as well as playing in team competition with the Blue Hose.
“Dusan is going to be a perfect fit for our team and culture with his leadership qualities, work ethic and character,” Mississippi State head coach Matt Roberts said. “He has a big game and has proven he can compete with the best in the nation. We are ready to start the fall with him and help him develop on and off the court.”
In 2023, Milanovic was ranked No. 69 nationally in singles play and No. 37 in doubles play, with a 19-3 singles record at the top position and a stretch of 12 of 13 match wins to end the season.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina-born Milanovic is now one of three players on next year’s Bulldog roster to be nationally ranked No. 120 or better by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
