The Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) basketball playoffs begin Monday night.
The area will again be well-represented.
Both Columbus squads are back in the playoffs and will face Clinton in first round action Tuesday night.
The girls play at 6 p.m., while the boys follow at 7:30 p.m.
On Monday night, the New Hope girls begin postseason play with a 7 p.m. game against Ridgeland.
Other girls’ teams playing Monday include West Lowndes hosting Piney Woods and Hamilton playing at Ashland, each in Class 1A.
Tuesday, the Starkville boys will play host to Horn Lake in Class 6A, while the West Point boys play at Vicksburg in Class 5A first-round action.
In Class 4A Tuesday, Noxubee County plays host to Senatobia, while Caledonia goes to Ripley.
Aberdeen hosts Holly Springs in girls and boys Tuesday in Class 3A.
In 1A, the West Lowndes boys host Lumberton, while Hamilton visits Myrtle Tuesday.
