Candidate states the central role God plays in her life
First I repent, as a Christian I have not fulfilled the purpose of God in my life.
COVID-19 has caused me to examine my heart, not my head! An evangelist of 42 years, I know the word of God, quote the word of God, study the word of God in my head, but my heart was not where God wanted it to be: walking in obedience to God and not man.
I’ve had time to re-evaluate my priorities: #1 God; #2 family; #3 church and #4 community.
I put my children first at one time before putting God first. I said I love you, God! But when it came to money, I put my children, grandchildren and great-grands first. My pockets had holes in them.
After a heart attack, I repented and started going to the bank and next place was my church home to pay my tithes and offering.
The floodgates opened! You, me, no one can beat God giving: New perceptions, new attitude, new way of living (exercising, eating, health.
I challenge all of us: Seek the Lord first. Before you get out of bed, before your feet hit the floor, before you use the bathroom, before you brush your teeth, before you shower and before your first cup of coffee.
God wants to be first!
Is Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc the first thing you look at? A Bible is on your phone! This technology can become an enemy or a blessing: You decide!
Let’s stop the craziness and get it right!
Ask the Lord to order your steps daily.
Let’s humble ourselves, pray and seek God’s face and turn from our wicked ways: all lying, gossiping, back biting, prejudice, stealing, embezzling, favoritism, not showing up for work having to punch your clock card and you get paid (stealing taxpayer funds), covering up for embezzlers, drug selling, drug using, neglecting children, church doors locked when they need to be opened, God’s people going to casinos, grocery store, work and not going to church: You decide. It’s your choice. The consequences will be delivered!
Vengeance is the Lord! We all have or perhaps are guilty!
Columbus, Lowndes countians, we will become a city and county that God’s will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven! I’m awake! Wake up!
Get a relationship with God, daily and I promise you, He will wake you up, take the scales off our eyes and we all will say, “I once were blind but now I see! God be with you! Gold bless Columbus!
