Supports tax bill
I for one was glad to see the Mississippi House pass a bill to eliminate the state income tax, and even more surprised they want to actually make up the revenue loss by raising the sales tax. Chuck Younger’s coarsely worded opposition to this mostly just shows his lack of basic math skills: Most people are going to save more money by not paying income tax than they will spend on the extra sales tax. And, sorry to say it, but poor people don’t need to buy brand new cars or boats.
