Feels Mississippi’s congressional delegation doesn’t represent entire state
We have seen White America at one of its highest levels of hate this past Wednesday. I knew it was just a matter of time before the pot would boil over. Trump was only the igniter, the fuse has been there waiting for the right spark. There are no words that can undo what happened at the U.S. Capitol. Trump and his followers are quick to condemn the BLM peaceful protest, which includes those local Trumpicans. I am sure his followers are at ease and nothing significant has happened. Mississippians are represented by a few Trumpicans, Cindy Hyde-Smith (my Yorkie is more qualified than she is); Steven Palazzo; Michael Guest is in the same boat. My belief is if it quacks like a duck, it’s a duck. Maybe one day the residents of this state will vote for a person who is qualified to hold offices not because of their race. It’s plain to see the individuals I have named are not representing all of Mississippi. I did not see Roger Wicker’s name on the list that was opposing the Presidential elections.
Mississippians will continue to suffer as long as unqualified people are elected to political offices. We can not prosper. Why do our children leave the state for better opportunities? Mark my word, when the majority of the state is no longer color blind, the future will shine.
