We face battles in our lives every day. However, many of us are not patient enough to allow the Lord to fight on our behalf. We feel the Lord is too slow in reacting and would rather fight the battle ourselves, only to find out, the battles we’re trying to fight are not ours, they’re the Lord’s. So the next time we’re faced with a battle, we should stand still and let God fight our battle. “Ye shall not need to fight in this battle; set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you.” (2 Chronicles 20:17) KJV
Many times our battle will seem so big that we can’t see anything except the battle. In times like these, we have to stand still and let God fight our battles. There is no battle too big for Him. “For He is our King and He’s mighty in our battles. “Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.” (Psalm 24:8) KJV
Sometimes our battles hit us hard and leave us wounded, especially the unexpected ones like an unexpected death of a close relative or a serious illness. When we face these kinds of battles, we have to release them to the Lord and stand still and let Him fight our battles. “Ye shall not fear them: for the Lord your God he shall fight for you.” (Deuteronomy 3:22)KJV
When our enemies come up against us, we want to fight back, get even or put them in their place. Nevertheless, we don’t have to worry about our enemies because God will handle them for us. He is strong and more than able to take our enemies head on in battle. All we have to do is stand still and let God fight our battles, and He will give the victory to us. “For the Lord your God is going with you! He will fight for you against your enemies, and He will give you victory.” (Deuteronomy 20:4) NLT
As Christians we have spiritual battles that are real, and we cannot physically see the attacker. These kind of battles are too hard for us to fight ourselves. We have to stand still and let God fight them for us. “He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.” (Psalm 55:18) KJV
So be encouraged today and always remember: “The Lord your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes.” (Deuteronomy 1:30) KJV
