Ben Shapiro states ex-police officer Derek Chauvin was convicted not of his criminal activity but a charge that was never brought against him: the charge of racism.

With George Floyd pinned to the ground handcuffed, Chauvin’s knee on his neck, with three more cops making sure he stays there, with Floyd saying over 20 times “I can’t breathe” as bystanders screamed at Chauvin to remove his knee, you’re murdering him, and during trial, evidence was presented that Floyd was brain dead while Chauvin’s knee was still on his neck, Ben wants you to believe that the jury convicted him because of racism.

When someone believes he knows more than the jurors, that’s a dangerous person.

Before reading this column, I had previously read about Fox News hyping a story about a proposed plan by Joe Biden to limit Americans to four pounds of red meat a year.

In another report, migrant youths were given “welcome kits” containing copies of Vice President Kamala Harris’s 2019 children’s book, “Superheroes Are Everywhere.”

A New York Post writer resigned over this story, saying she was forced to write it.

Both of these stories, repeated on Fox News and then across right-wing media, turned out to be false.

I would classify this story to be false also.

If Ben is willing to prove his point, maybe arrangements could be made to have Chauvin knee Shapiro for over 9 minutes, and if results are the same, go from there.

And make sure we get them there early enough to draw a crowd.
