Jim Dollar made a statement I completely agree with: “When you have a crooked, corrupt liar in the Oval Office, you can only have two kinds of people around you: crooked corrupt liars or people dumb as a fence post.” Bizarrely, he declares President Biden to be the described president. Not a single member of the Biden administration has been charged with a crime, let alone convicted. His son, Hunter, has been convicted on gun charges: lying, possessing, etc., (I wonder why the NRA has not come to his defense) but Hunter has never been part of the Biden administration (unlike, it seems, every member of the Trump family). There has been no evidence at all that President Biden had done anything untoward in Ukraine. In fact, there is no evidence whatever that President Biden has ever been involved in anything that might be referred to as corruption. (Some secret documents were found in his garage, and he returned them immediately, no subpoena needed).
How about former President Trump? In his trial, he claimed he did not testify for fear of being charged with perjury. Apparently, the man cannot avoid lying even under oath. Mr. Dollar has made the right point about a liar in the Oval Office but applied it to the wrong person.
As for being corrupt, Trump has been convicted of falsifying documents, and of falsifying property values, and, of course, of bribing a porn star. Biden has done none of these things, nor any other chargeable offence. So again, Dollar has made the correct point about corruption in the Oval Office, but applied it to the wrong person.
As for the kinds of people around him, eight members of the Trump administration have been sentenced to prison time. Others were pardoned by Trump when he was president, and so avoided prison. I can present no evidence to any “dumb as a fence post” except insofar as a lot of people expected loyalty from MTrump, only to be disappointed.
As for the state of the world, domestically, the stock market is at an all-time high; crime, especially violent crime, has declined dramatically; border crossings have declined considerably. President Biden is doing all he can to bring wars to an end.
As to what President Biden knows or does not know about money, the House of Representatives, controlled by Republicans, determines all Federal spending. Even so, our deficit is still below 2.5% of our gross domestic product, a level that most economists deem easily supportable.
We must all decide who we believe in November. Shall we choose a “crooked corrupt liar” or a man who has spent his entire career trying to bring people together?
