During the recent school bond issue voting, there was a lot of confusion and frustration with voters going to the wrong voting precincts because the city and the county don’t use the same places.
The Columbus City charter states that there is to be only one voting location for all city elections. Why doesn’t our city council follow the rules of our charter?
It would save so much money to only have one voting location. As it is now, we are paying for poll workers and location rents at about ten places. The logical voting location would be the city Municipal Complex. There would be plenty of parking and a free location.
