The Watson Foundation has committed to help sponsor scholarships for our up-and-coming talented young entrepreneurs at Schoolhouse Ice Pops and Lemonade. We applaud the efforts being initiated by Desiree Johnson, and we encourage our community to invest financially in this very worthy cause.
We invite you to come out for their Kids Entrepreneur Convention from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 20 at 1205 Military Road in Columbus, Mississippi. We hope to see you there.
It really takes a village to ensure that we nurture our young minds to be the best they possibly can be. It is no small feat to undertake such an all-encompassing task, but Desiree Johnson is the right person at the right time to bring this initiative to fruition.
I would be remiss if I didn’t reach out to our community of supporters to become actively involved with their children’s lives, their ambitions, their friends, their insecurities and their strengths.
Yes, we can make a difference, and we should — not only in these young entrepreneurs’ aspirations but also in the lives of all who may come after them.
