Willie Ferguson

REFORM, Ala. — Willie Gene Ferguson, 86, died June 25, 2026, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, at New Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to services, at the church. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ferguson was born on July 30, 1939, in Pine Grove, Alabama, to the late Marvin Ferguson and Nancy Jane Swedenburg Ferguson. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and was formally employed at Bosch/United Technologies in Columbus. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lovie Joyce Brazil Ferguson; sisters, Irene Kyles, Margie Ridgeway and Christine Bailey; brothers, Curtis Ferguson, John Ferguson and Doug Ferguson; and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Cherrie Sims of Reform and Brenda Stevens of Pickensville, Alabama; son, Keith Ferguson of Reform; brother, Marvin Ferguson of Reform; sisters, Kathleen Black, Elaine Thomas, Leila Morgan, all of Reform, Diane Parsons and Janice Taylor, both of Columbus; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brian Ferguson, Triston Stevens, Ben Sims, Matthew Sims, Caleb Junking and Kamden Sims.
