JACKSON – Willie “Will” Mae Bush, 55, died April 21, 2026, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church in Brooksville, with the Rev. Sammie Lyons officiating. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Ms. Bush was born May 5, 1970, in Macon, to Ruthie Mae Bush and the late Bennie C. Bush. She was formally employed with Paccar, P.I. Investment, Bauccom Janitorial and Windsor. She was a member of Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church. 

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Evonne Hunter, Shavonne Bush and Shamya Bush, all of Columbus; siblings, Bennie C. Bush, Jr., Angela Wells, Cynthia Bush, Dawanda Elliot, Rosalyn Bush and Timothy Bush; and seven grandchildren.
