COLUMBUS — William “Bobby” Brewer, 79, died Aug. 3, 2025, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at New Prospect M.B. Church, with Tafforest L. Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is from 1-5 p.m. Friday at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brewer was born Aug. 3, 1945, in Columbus, to the late Estella Jackson.  He attended Motley High School and was a member of New Prospect M.B. Church.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by adoptive parents, Evaleana and Pearlie Hampton.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Ann Brewer; children, Dewayne Chandler, Eric Brewer, Ennis Brewer and Courtney Martin; siblings, Jenie Jackson, Mila Jackson, Jennifer Jackson, Lawanda Jackson and Duel Jackson; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Donald Hill Sr., Eddie Pippins Sr., Charles James, Jesse Buchanan, Adolphus Brewer and Arsenio Brewer.
