NOXUBEE COUNTY — Will C. Cheatham, 73, died Sept. 28, 2025, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Bigbee Baptist Church, with Larry Lanier officiating. Burial will follow at Cluster Baptist M.B. Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-5 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cheatham was born Dec.. 28, 1951, in Noxubee County, to Bessie Colbert Cheatham and the late Jordan Cheatham Sr. He was formerly employed as a street commissioner supervisor with the City of Macon. He was a member of Bigbee Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his children, Lafayette Cheatham and Towanna Cheatham; siblings, Jordan Cheatham Jr. and Alma Thomas; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Brenda Cheatham of Brooksville; children, Alesia Cheatham of Omaha, Nebraska, Andre Wright of San Antonio, Texas, Katina Windham, Ty’Meisha Windham and Eriyon Beamon, all of Macon, and Jessica Thompson of Birmingham, Alabama; siblings, John Cheatham, Mattie Lee Bush, Joyce Skinner, Julius Cheatham, Elizabeth Cheatham, James Earl Cheatham, Ophina Cheatham, Jean Smith, June Brown and Harold Brown, all of Macon, Levester Stanton, Elise Stanton and Regina Cheatham, all of Columbus, Robert John Cheatham of Prentiss, Marie Turnipseed of Starkville, and Paula Macon of Louisville; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Charles Gillespie Jr., Willie B. Slaughter, Aaron Stanton, Brian Stanton, Verdell Clemmons Jr. and Perry Stanton Jr.
