COLUMBUS — Walter James Kyles Jr. 56, died Sept. 29, 2018, in Columbus. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh Full Gospel M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Sandfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-6 p.m. Saturday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kyles was born Sept. 14, 1962, in Columbus, to Beatrice Thompson and the late Walter Kyles Sr. He was a 1980 graduate of Caldwell High School and was formerly employed with Airline Manufacturing Company and as a carpenter with Bostick Construction Company. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Acia Rice of Columbus; siblings, Deforest Kyles, Franciose Kyles, Vernessa Miller, Sherry Taylor and Gwen Taylor, all of Columbus, Artega Kyles of Birmingham, Alabama, Darnell Kyles of Madison, Alabama, Johnny Kyles of Memphis, Tennessee, Anthony Randle of Bellville, Illinois, Leo Bailey of Detroit, Michigan and Marvin Kyles of Hattiesburg; and one grandchild. Pallbearers will be Courtney Beckwith, Philanders Harris, Dominique Hughes, Lemetrice Hughes, Artega Kyles Jr. and Deforest Kyles Jr.
