Vivydean Jaynes, 85, of Columbus, MS, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Lowndes Funeral
Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, with Bro. Mel Howton officiating. Interment will follow at Ethelsville Baptist Church Cemetery in Ethelsville, Alabama. Lowndes Funeral Home will be directing.

Mrs. Jaynes was born September 10, 1940, in Fayette, Alabama, to the late Zelbert Knight and Geraldine Knight. She worked as a childcare caregiver for over 60 years. Mrs. Jaynes is of the Baptist faith and was a member of Canaan Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of children, watching Hallmark movies, shopping in her younger years, and spending time with family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jaynes is preceded in death by her spouse, Lewis “Bobby” Jaynes; brother, Ivyloy Knight; and sister, Mary Janice Knight.

Mrs. Jaynes is survived by her children, Starlo (Mark) Flanagin and Chad (Tammy) Jaynes; grandchildren, Brook (Jared) Louviere, Markie (Chris) Gustine and Ellie Jaynes; great-grandchildren, Kinsey and Bryce Louviere, Rivers, Porter, Harrison, Huntly, Ayla and Waverly Gustine.

Pallbearers will be Rivers Gustine, Porter Gustine, Harrison Gustine, Bryce Louviere, Tim Knight, Huntly Gustine, Jessie Simpson, and Chris Gustine. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jamie Knight, Terry Knight, Jared Louviere, Mike Shavanore, Ivyloy Knight, Jr.
