MACON — Virginia Brooks Rogers Adams, 90, died Nov. 4, 2009, at Noxubee General Hospital. Services are Friday at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Bob Whiteside and Mrs. Babara Crespino officiating. Burial will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Arrangements were made by Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon. A lifelong resident of Macon, Mrs. Adams was born Sept. 12, 1919, to the late Nicholas Newton Jr. and Nellie Smith Rogers. She was a medical assistant, a member of the Macon Junior Auxiliary and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Morgan Adams; sisters Nellie Allene Jackson and Augusta Maury; and brother, Nick Rogers III. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Adams Garner, of Jackson; son, Charlie Morgan Adams Jr., of Macon; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
