BYRAM — Vincent Tremayne Samuel, 46, died July 17, 2026, at his residence. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Stephen Chapel M.B. Church in Columbus, with Claude Long officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Samuel was born March 13, 1980, in Columbus, to Rev. James Samuel and Glinda Samuel. He was a 2000 graduate of Columbus High School and a 2007 graduate of Stillman College. He was formerly employed at Columbus Police Department and Mississippi Department of Corrections. 

He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Samuel II and Kenneth Samuel. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jasmine Samuel of Byram; and his sons, Vincent T. Samuel II, Elijah Samuel and Joshua Samuel, all of Byram. 

Pallbearers will be Veair Green, John McCullom, Jason Taylor, Ronnie Taylor, Tony MaGee, Fred Brisco, Fred Jackson and Jeremy Williams.
