BROOKSVILLE — Viakars Atkins, 68, died Nov. 18, 2025.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Chapel Hill M.B. Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30-6 p.m. Friday, at West Memorial Funeral Home. West Memorial Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements. 

He is survived by his daughters, Turnesia Fason and Nekita Walker, both of Starkville; sisters, Stella Bibbs of Brooksville, Brenda Thomas, Helen Atkins, Lena Evans and Lula Atkins, all of Starkville; brothers, Michael Evans, Willie Evans, Fredrick Atkins, all of Starkville; and  nine grandchildren.
