TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Tyrone Hamilton, 53, died Dec. 18, 2025, in Northport, Alabama. 

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, at Cedar Grove M.B. Church, with Robert Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-5 p.m. Saturday, at Carter’s Funeral services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Hamilton was born March 23, 1972, in Aberdeen, to Willie Queen Calloway and the late James C. McDonald Sr. He attended Caledonia High School and was formerly employed as a truck driver. He attended Cedar Grove M.B. Church. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, James McDonald Jr.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-father, Derek Calloway; wife, LaTonji Hamilton; children, Jaron Hamilton of Columbus and Edward Miller of Tuscaloosa; siblings, John Edward Cross, Christopher D. Cross, both of Columbus and Tracy McDonald of Chicago, Illinois; and four grandchildren.
