MACON — Troy Washington, 69, died Jan. 5, 2026, in Macon.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Noxcedar M.B. Church, with Admise Gandy officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is from 2-5 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Washington was born March 27, 1956, in Macon, to the late Booker T. Washington Sr. and Rena Mae Washington. He was formerly employed as a boiler engineer with the Chicago Housing Authority and was a member of Noxcedar M.B. Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Booker T. Washington Jr., Lorenzo Washington and Pearlie Yeargain.

He is survived by his children, Troy Washington and Tracy Tucker; siblings, Leroy Washington, Virginia White, Kent Washington and Alexander Washington; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Rex Oliver, Billie Oliver, Earl Oliver, John Earl Rucker, Michael Scott and Shedrick Brown.
