COLUMBUS — Trovis Deshon “Voris” Sherrod, 45, died July 28, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Bibleway Progressive Church of God In Christ, with Henry Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church cemetery in Brooksville. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Sherrod was born May 11, 1980, in West Point, to Sammie Lee Williams and Sinter R. Sherrod. He attended Mitchell Elementary and Vernon High School and was formerly employed as a truck driver with APAC, at McDermatt, City of Harriesburg and Trovis Lawn Service. He was a member of Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church. 

He is survived by his fiancé, Echo Rose; and siblings, Micaela Sherrod, Frances Neal-Ellis, Tawanda Smith-Dukes, all of Columbus, Deangela Sherrod of Huntsville, Alabama, Jackie McCullough of Newman, Georgia, and Sayonara Jones of Tampa, Florida.
