GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. — Travis Ray Lyons, 68, died Aug. 13, 2025, at the VA Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. 

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Chandler Funeral Home, with André Evans officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Baptist Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Chandler Funeral Home of Vernon, Alabama, was in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Lyons was born April 24, 1957, in Tupelo, to Tom Hankins and the late Martha Dean Hankins. He was a veteran of the National Guard and was formerly employed at a machinist of NASA. 

In addition to his father, he is survived by his daughter, Heather Hindman; son, Brad Lyons; sisters, Lajune Vick, Judit Richardson, Susan Harrison and Tami Sudduth; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. 

Pallbearers will be Tommy  Barton, Michael Hall, Billy Guyton, Thomas Guyton, Shane Glasgow, Brodie Glasgow, Brady Glasgow, Kophen Sudduth, Ty Smith and Todd Jenkins.
