COLUMBUS — Timothy Theris “Daddy” Sherrod, 64, died Feb. 24, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church in Brooksville, with Tommy Sherrod officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Sherrod was born June 28, 1961, in Columbus, to the late Allie V. Sherrod Wilkins. He was formerly employed at Columbus Fence Company and as a self employed carpenter. 

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Ulysses Wilkins; and brothers, Henry and Joseph Sherrod. 

Pallbearers will be Elijah Sherrod, RaeKwon Sherrod, GerKobe Taylor, Jamarus Stinson, Fredrick Summerville and LaShawn Sherrod.
