SULLIGENT, Ala. — Thomas Glenn Whaley, 66, died Jan. 15, 2026, at his residence.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m.Sunday, at Otts Funeral Home Chapel, with Mary Sanders officiating. Burial followed at Furnace Hill Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements.

Whaley was born Jan. 16, 1959, in Columbus, to the late Bill Whaley and Betty Joyce Jewel Whaley. He attended Columbus schools and was formerly employed with Baldor Electric and as a transmission mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Nelda McDill Whaley of Sulligent; children, Christopher Whaley of Biloxi, Jennifer Ingle of Dallas, Texas, and Cherie Whaley of Florida; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jim Adams, Dusty Goff, Cain Dove, Krysten Allen, Tucker Allen and Bo Wooten.
