KOSCIUSKO — Thad Everette Easterwood, 90, died April 3, 2013. Services are today at 2 p.m. at Center Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is to hours prior to services. Welch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Easterwood was born Feb. 17, 1923, to the late Thaddeaus L. and Maudean Vickers Easterwood. He was a graduate of Cumberland High School, Wood Junior College, Delta State University and Mississippi State University. He was formerly employed as an educator and coach. He was a member of Self Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Hamilton Easterwood; brothers, John, Claude and Jim; and sister, Gerry Murphy. Survivors include his wife, Roma Jean Holmes Easterwood of Kosciusko; daughter, Dorothy Faye Easterwood Murphy of Raymond; stepsons, Ken Holmes of Kosciusko and Bob Holmes of Corinth; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
