COLUMBUS — Terry James McCoy, 66, died Oct. 6, 2025, in Columbus.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Zion Hill M.B. Church, with Bobby L. Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Brick M.B. Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McCoy was born Nov. 6, 1958, in Columbus, to the late Febber McCoy Jr. and Irene McCoy. He was a member of Shiloh Full Gospel M.B. Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Terrance McCoy and Marcus Sykes; and siblings, Ester M. Johnson and Gloria Martin.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria McCoy of Columbus; children, Latoria McCoy, Tequila McCoy and Reco Turner, all of Columbus, and Tiacara Mitchell of Pascagoula; siblings, June Brown of Detroit, Michigan, Floretta Deloach of Caledonia, Renata Jennings and Febber McCoy III, both of Columbus, and Freddie Lash of Columbia, South Carolina; 26 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
