COLUMBUS — Tawania Yvette Cannon Hollins, 60, died May 31, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Carter’s Funeral Services Chapel. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hollins was born Jan. 7, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York, to Rosie “Cookie” Cannon Steele and the late Edward Steele. She was a graduate of South Shore High School and was formerly employed as a paralegal and as a salesperson and finance manager with Carl Hogan Toyota

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Zina Cannon.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Sharonie, Adrian and Tyshawn; siblings, Guy, Gary, Jamal and Najah; and three grandchildren.
