Tamara Kay Jacobs, 59, of Vernon, AL, passed away on March 25, 2026, at her residence after a long battle with cancer.

The visitation will be Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral
Home, Columbus, MS. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Kenny
Gardner officiating. The graveside service will follow at Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS. Lowndes Funeral Home entrusted with all arrangements.

Ms. Jacobs was born on November 30, 1966, in Fayette, Alabama to Bailey Wayne and Carol Woods. She was the founder of Columbus Carpenters for Christ. She passionately ministered to women struggling with addictions and visited incarcerated women to share the love of Christ.

Ms. Jacobs is preceded in death by her son, Montana Jacobs.

She is survived by her parents, Bailey Wayne and Carol Woods; sons, Thomas Nathan (Lillie) Wheeler and Robert Linn (Amber) Jacobs; siblings, Tracy Cockerham, Terry Wayne (Misty) Woods and Tanya Franks; grandchildren, Lejand Bailey Wheeler, Robert Linn “RJ” Jacobs, Jr., Addison Cain, Brent Cain, Cayden Cain and Nathaniel Drake Colvin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Woods, Dallas Cockerham, Dillon Cockerham, Eddie Woods, Gary Jacobs and Lejand Wheeler.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Reeves, Carl Woods, James Thomason and Calvin Thomason.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lowndes Funeral Home for funeral expenses or memorials may be made to Columbus Carpenters for Christ in her honor to 291 Mayfield Road, Caledonia, MS 39740.
