VERNON, Ala. — Susan Rogers, 50, died Aug. 19, 2025, at her residence. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Chandler Funeral Home, with James Godsey and Dillion Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Higdon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Chandler Funeral Home of Vernon is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Rogers was born Feb. 12, 1975, in Amory, to John Palmer and Etoy Palmer. She was formerly employed as an office manager at Lamar County Home Extension Office. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Leslie Palmer; and step-mother, Wanda Palmer. 

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughters, Courtney Lay of Hamilton, Alabama, and Katie Rogers of Vernon; step-son, Josh Rogers of Ohio; brothers, Jeff Guyton and Randy Guyton; and two grandchildren.
