BEAVERTON, Ala. — Steve McDonald, 71, died Dec. 19, 2025, at his residence. 

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, at Otts Funeral Home. Burial followed at Love Joy Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent was in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. McDonald was born July 14, 1954, in Winfield, Alabama, to the late Vernell McDonald and Robbie Gray Gosa McDonald. He was a graduate of Haleyville High School and was formerly employed at Longnecker. 

He is survived by his brothers, Wayne “Blue” McDonald of Winfield, David McDonald of Sulligent and Michael McDonald of West Blockton, Alabama; sisters, Ruby Nell McMinn of Lavinia, Tennessee, Betty Gann and Pasty Hill, both of Sulligent.
