MILLPORT, Ala. — Shirley Ardean Watkins Fields, 89, died June 27, 2026. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Dowdle Funeral Home, with Danny Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Millport City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Dowdle Funeral Home of Millport is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Fields was born on October 2, 1936, in Tuscaloosa County, to the late Robert Swann and Mae Watkins Swann. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Church of Christ in Millport. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewie Fields; and siblings, James Swann, Margaret Swann and Earl Swann. 

She is survived by her daughter, Kay Fields Morrison; brothers, Albert Swann and Larry Swann; and two grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Alex Morrison, Eddie Morrison, Danny Hayes, Bo Hayes, Toby Hayes and Bunky Hayes.
