WEST POINT — Sherry Lynette Clayton, 58, died Dec. 3, 2025, at her residence in Columbus.

Funeral services were at noon Monday, at Northside Christian Church, with Boone Lairy officiating. Burial followed at Concord Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the church. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Clayton was born Oct. 30, 1967, in Kansas City, Kansas, to the late J.D. Clayton Sr. and Ethel Mae Harris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerome D. Clayton.

She is survived by her children, Caleb T. Deloach, Erica M. Clayton and Stacy O. Clayton; siblings, J.D. Clayton Jr., LaShanda Lenoir, Rasheda Burnett and Christsal Stark; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
