COLUMBUS — Shelia Ann Ross, 65, died Nov. 5, 2025, at her residence. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at New Beginning Full Gospel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tommy Davis officiating. Burial will follow at St. Matthews M.B. Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ross was born June 7, 1960, in Columbus, to the late Ollie J. Ross and Miranda Davis Ross. She was formerly employed at Walmart, Airline Manufacturing, Peco Food, Food Giant and Roses. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Ross; and siblings, Ollie Ross Tuggle, Tommie James Ross, Rolly George Ross and Vernessa Ross Pate. 

She is survived by her sons, James D. Ross, Morio A. Ross and Michael Ross; siblings, William L. Ross, Joe Lee Ross, Willie G. Ross, Earlene Stubbe, Steven Ross, Elizabeth Blackwell, Dorothy McDavis, Arvetia Bishop, Dorothy Avery, Rosie Morgan, Shirley Townsend and Richard Townsend; and three grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Jajohnta Harvill, Marcus Ross, Tim Kidd, Pierre Ross, Timothy Ross and Terry Kidd.
