OXFORD — Shawn Williams, 48, died Aug. 25, 2025. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Mt. Ary M.B. Church in Columbus, with the Rev. Brian D. Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Williams was born Nov. 10, 1976, in Columbus, to Lucy Sykes Williams and Ronald Gray. He was a graduate of New Hope High School and EMCC. He was formerly employed as a kitchen manager at Reuben’s Catfish House, City of Oxford, Hepaco and FedEx. He was a member of Christ Temple C.M.E. Church. 

He is survived by his wife, Shanda Williams; daughter, Tachovia Hudson, Abreanna Brown and Kaleah Hudson; brothers, Rodney Gray and Marcus Gray; sister, Tanya Gray; and five grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Anthony Mays, Ahmad Key, Timothy Kidd, Terrell Davis, Rico Frierson and Terry Kidd.
